TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG by Dennis Ogle

Never thought I'd live to see a day
that I'd turn away from the TV
Don't wanna hear no more about life
in this crazy world
We've gone off the deep end
I don't recognize it
Day in, day out, it's gonna move on
Right from the beginning
long after we're gone

But don't count on me, no
God won't hear me
I'm already too old to die young
Don't look at me no
Not my problem
I'm already too old to die young

And it's no surprise to me
that my generation is
taking the blame
for the state of creation
Reality is a matter of taste
One mans excess is another mans waste
Day in, day out it goes on
and I'll be a memory
by the time it's all gone

So don't count on me, no
God don't hear me
I'm already too old to die young
Don't look at me, no
Not my problem
I'm already to old to die young

This is our legacy
This is our last chance
to prove ourselves to history
We still have time
